Hands of Glory will present a contemporary Christian music concert in sign language with an awesome power and boldness of faith that will stir your heart.  It will be held at Faith on Friday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m.  Come and bring your friends to witness the message of the music come alive through sign.  Hands of Glory is made up of members of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, who have a strong faith in God and love to share that faith through this unique music ministry.  Before the concert we invite you to join us for a meal at 5:30.  The Board of Fellowship and Deaf Ministry will provide the main dish of Sloppy Joes and hot dogs and we ask everyone attending to bring a salad, vegetable, or dessert.  If you plan to attend, please contact the church office so we will know how many to prepare for.  Join us for an evening of fun and fellowship!

The Board of Parish Planning will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12.  Directors, please have your reports for the meeting in the church office by Tuesday morning.

Come and join the TRACK  (Thoughtful Random Acts of Christian Kindness) team for a fun and rewarding time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23 and May 21.  Also 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1.  We will meet at Faith at 1:00 p.m. and divide into groups.  At 2:30 p.m., we will meet back at the church to share experiences and enjoy a cake.  Everyone is welcome.  We’ll wash windshields, dry off cars at car washes, or something else most anyone can do.  Bring a squeegee and chamois if you have them available.  This is our way of showing God’s love in a practical way — “no strings attached”. 

We thank Lauri Barnhart for her four years leading our Lord’s Lambs Preschool.  Lauri will be leaving at the end of the current school year to pursue other opportunities, so we are in need of a new Director/Teacher.  Are you interested?  Do you know someone who might be?  Talk to a Board of Education member or contact the church office.

LSO will have a meal and Bible study at Faith on Sunday, April 17, 6:00 p.m. All college students are invited to join us!

Thursday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m., Elaine Whiteneck will be here to meet with all those involved in our education ministries.  Elaine is the Minister of Education at Messiah and has helped develop sexual misconduct guidelines.  She will make a short presentation to our congregation.  Anyone interested may attend.  We especially encourage Sunday School staff, VBS staff, Preschool staff, and our Board of Education members to attend.

Bible Study — Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.

Men’s Bible Study/Sandwich Lunch — Thursdays at 12:00 Noon

Come and learn about Biblical Survivors!! There will be challenges and rewards. There will be Bible stories, crafts, games, videos, music, and skits. Come and bring a friend!

We will have our Congregational Assembly meeting June 26, right after worship. The main agenda will be the election of officers and the reports from the boards and committees. Plan on attending and taking part in this important event in the life of our parish family.
