What We Believe
God created us holy, but we lost this holiness through sin.
We are still sinful and disobedient to God as evidenced by our inability to keep the Ten Commandments perfectly.
God loves us in spite of our sins; loves us so much that he took all the sins of the world and put them on Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, who fulfilled the Law for us and died on the cross in our place for our sins. We believe that Christ rose from the
grave to give us victory over death and the promise of eternal life.
The Holy Spirit gives us new life in the Sacrament of Baptism and enables us to believe and trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He also gives us spiritual
gifts to remain strong in the faith.
The Bible is the Word of God, absolute truth and the only source and authority of faith and life
The Sacrament of Holy Communion gives us the body and blood of our Lord through bread and wine, for forgiveness and strength.
The Bible has two parts, Law and Gospel. The Law shows us our sinfulness, the Gospel shows us our Savior.
The Church is the body of Christ and made up of all those who believe in Him.
Christ will come again visibly at the end of time, raise all the dead and give to every believer eternal life.
